Ten-year-old Theresa is usually our resident photographer, but her eight-year-old sister Margaret appears to be following along in her footsteps, helping to capture some scenes of life around the cottage.
Theresa managed to snap this interesting shot of Canada Geese:
[Seven Canada Geese skim the treetops.]
Margaret's no slouch either. Here are a few shots she can add to her growing portfolio:
[Hundreds of fragrant Honeysuckle blossoms keep the bees busy.]
[With the deluge we've had this week, mushrooms like these are a common sight on the lawn.]
We welcomed the return of clear blue skies . . .
. . . but it wasn't long before that all-too-familiar ominous gray shroud returned.
The four girls remained outside until I called them, undaunted despite loud thunder claps and a persistent rain. Four-year-old Patrick was a bit more prudent, seeking me out in the kitchen to report, "The girls are staying out in the lightning. I don't think that's good judgment."

Speaking of photographs by children, I loved Dawn's idea at By Sun and Candlelight--a weekly photography gallery created entirely by the boys! The girls and I will be looking forward to seeing each new installment!
The Canadian Geese shot is fabulous! What timing to get the shot just as they cleared the treetops in a line.

Thanks so much, Jennifer! And I only found out this morning that Theresa actually took that one! Editing the post to reflect the real photographer now.
