Back in April, I went to Ireland for the first time in decades. The last time I was there, I had just graduated college and was about to begin law school. Imagine if anyone had told me then that I would return one day with a husband and nine children? The years have most assuredly been kind.
Because this blog will hopefully be a record for the children to look back on in years to come, here are just a few photos of the journey itself. First, a picture taken on the shuttle at Newark Airport--even before getting on the plane, we were all feeling pretty worn out.

After a drive through Manhattan to Newark, a three thousand mile flight, and a tourbus ride from Shannon to Killarney, we arrived at the beautiful Brehon Hotel. These three have the right jackets for the occasion:
We were all deeply exhausted, but happy to be home, and just about ready for the O'Brien reunion.
