In one of my earliest follies as a young bride, I joined a gardening and craft book club. Month after month, gorgeous, glossy, coffee-table sized books would flood into our city apartment on such relevant topics as ribbon embroidery, bobbin-lace making, decoupage, and knot gardening. As silly as it may seem, I loved those books and pored over each one, dreaming about the projects I would create some day. One book in particular was called "A Garden for Cutting" and showed the most beautiful plans for gardens blooming continuously. I pictured myself stepping down a stony path, basket in hand, gathering armloads of blooms. Oddly enough, over two decades later, we do have a "garden for cutting." Something is always blooming and finding its way into pitchers or jars.
Beautiful! What a blessing to be graced with such a garden!

Like the "little Flower" I marvel at God's perfect timing of his beautiful wild flowers each year ( no matter what the weather) to keep us marveling at the beauty of nature.
I so admire the skill you have developed to keep your garden blooming as well. Magnificent

Thank you so much, Sarah, Penelope and Nancy!
Nancy, I take none of the credit for this garden at all. The rhododendrons were planted by the previous owner, and our landscaper planted the rest.
