My beautiful friend, Lucille, invited me to speak at a Marian Mothers' Retreat she was organizing in Virginia this past weekend.
Holy Trinity Church in Gainesville is beautiful. This photo does not begin to show how majestic it is:
The sanctuary is truly beautiful:
A view from the vestibule of the church:
A stunning replica of The Pieta:
Here is the schedule for a lovely day (I was so happy to hear the other talks, especially Lucille's story of the Blessed Mother at work in her life):
Meanwhile, back in New York, these two were leaving for a 1920s themed dance with friends. My babies need to stop all this growing up!
You were here? That's the next parish over from me....oh, I'm so bummed!!!!!!!!!!

Jennifer, I wish I had told you about it! I definitely will not make that mistake if I am ever down there again.
Thank you so much, Marybeth!
