The good news . . . I discovered that the white noise of a blowdryer keeps my exceedingly easy-to-wake baby sound asleep.
The bad news . . . it keeps everyone else awake!

White noise is great. We used to play a radio tuned to static. It was a little quieter for the rest of us, too. :)

I always kept a fan running in the babies' rooms to block out noise. Unfortunately, today none of my children can sleep without the whir of the fan.;-)

Get a radio that plays ocean sounds instead -- it'll use far less energy and won't risk causing a fire!

Great idea about the ocean sounds. (Don't worry about fire--I had one of my older daughters hold the blowdryer and pretend to be drying her hair. It took about five minutes to get the little darling to fall asleep.)
