We continued our new tradition, praying for each holy soul individually this Advent. We began with my great grandmother, Mary Dunn, and I reminded the children that it is the 56th anniversary of her death. I suggested that, rather than select another card at random tomorrow, we next pray for her husband, James E. Dunn ("Grandpa Jim," my great grandfather). I sifted through the "deck" of holy cards and found his card, a black and white image of St. Joseph and the Christ Child. Turning it over to see his date of death, I found November 30, 1952. God works in mysterious ways.
If you are inclined, please offer up a Hail Mary for James and Mary Dunn today. Many thanks.
Oh, and my father-in-law is named Jim. Jim and Mary Dunne with-an-E. We will pray for your great grandparents! Maybe they can pray in turn for my in-laws as well!

Oh my that gives me chills (in a good way!).
"It is a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead."
God bless you this Advent Alice dear!
