Dear Friends,
Please join me in praying for Jenn Miller's seven year old niece, the daughter of Celeste, a member of the 4Real Message Board. The poor little thing is having her fourth open heart surgery--the second in less than a year. She is very much aware of the suffering involved in her surgery and naturally quite frightened.
Today begins the Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes. At Loreto Cottage, we are already praying this Novena for the special intention of Louise [A Time to Keep] and her family. Please join us asking for peace and healing for Jenn's niece, her sister, and everyone in their family.
If you would like Novena reminders sent directly to your inbox, please consider subscribing to the Loreto Cottage group. It is possible to join for the nine days of this specific Novena, unsubscribing at the end.
Reminder: During the timeframe of this Novena, a Plenary Indulgence is available to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Our Lady's appearance in Lourdes. Please click here for details and specifications: Catholic News.
Absolutely she has my prayers! Poor little thing. And prayers to her parents too.

When I popped over to visit, I was surprised to see the Novena to Our Lady of Lourdes. Coincidently, or perhaps not, yesterday we visited the Painted Church, St. Benedict’s, on February 2. On the grounds are Stations of the Cross, and two statues, which I thought were Our Lady of Lourdes and Bernadette, a kneeling girl and Mary. (Recalling from school Fatima 3 children, La Sallette 2 children)
I took a photo of my child placing a shell lei on Bernadette, but I only posted the photo of Our Lady who is quite beautiful in shell leis.
I am doing the Novena as well now for the family you mentioned.

What is wrong with her valve? My son is having a similar surgery this spring/summer. His aortic valve is bicuspid and needs to be repaired or replaced.
