Later on tonight, I hope to write about our May Crowning, but for now I am thinking about the woman at the center of our prayers and thoughts this afternoon. Heather, one of the coordinators of the recent Homeschool Blog Awards, is a thirty-two year old mother of three who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Tomorrow (Thursday, May 3rd), she will undergo surgery to remove the tumor and needs all of our prayers.
Won't you please lift her in prayer, particularly tonight and tomorrow?
[If you have a web log, please consider asking your readers to "light a candle" for Heather by keeping her in prayer these next few days. I hope it will not seem silly, but I was thinking we might pass along this picture of a candle, including it within our posts and encouraging others to do so, a symbolic light to help shine through the terrible darkness she is facing.]

What a beautiful idea, Alice. I posted about her yesterday, too, but will add the candle today. Thank you.
