If there is one thing I love about homeschooling, it is having the freedom to head to woods or water at a moment's notice.
There is something soul satisfying about being the first person to step on a snowy path.
This morning was a glorious grey (we learned firsthand today that grey can truly be glorious) with soft flakes of snow, peaceful water, and swans gliding silently in the sound.
They love this path through the bare woods, with its twig lean-to and handmade bridge. We do not know who left these things here, but they seem made just for us.
Another day, another simple joy. How blessed we are.
