The Plastic Cup Challenge

After writing last night's post about crafting from materials around the house, I gave the girls a challenge: Create Marian May Baskets beginning with the following supplies:

A humble plastic drinking cup

An individual-sized cereal box

Dsc01381

Plastic yogurt cups

Dsc01383

Tomato and strawberry baskets

Here are a few of the early results, each costing next to nothing to create. I plan on posting more details later tonight.

Given today's level of enthusiasm, I would say that we will be continuing this activity well past May 1st!

My dear, your girls have your talent! Absolutely beautiful!

Adorable!(and Earth-friendly, too!)

Genevieve and Theresa, THANK YOU!

Alice,
Wow! What clever (and frugal!) craft projects. I am scared to share this webpage with my Timothy (our child who makes up for my lack of craftiness) for fear that he will abandon the rest of his lessons today and come up with a way to emulate your family. But that wouldn't be so bad now, would it?!
